Our next event will be our Annual Meeting / Leadership Night. Since COVID-19 only allows for small groups of people, this event will be for our Officers, Board Members, Committee Chairs and Ex-Officios, as we are restricted in our headcount.
Please note that we are dedicated to getting back to holding events and look forward to our Golf Tournament and looking to create a new Clay-Shoot event.
We'll keep you posted in the next few weeks on our summer/fall schedule,
The Propeller Club - Port of Tampa is always humbled to celebrate this day and show our appreciation and support of these special individuals. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we were allowed to assemble a small crowd for this year’s recognition. Club President Shannon LeMoine and Vice President, Mark Valenti, presided over the wreath laying ceremony that took place on the dock of the American Victory Ship. National Maritime Day commemorated the 201st anniversary of the first transatlantic crossing by a motorized vessel - the steamship SAVANNAH. However, National Maritime Day is all about people, the men and women who leave their families to operate ships both in the United States and around the globe for weeks and months at a time. Without their sacrifice, trade would come to a standstill.
The club always looks forward each year to this event. We typically recognize our Club’s Past Presidents as well as change of officers for the Executive Board and welcome new board members for the upcoming fiscal year. Unfortunately, as we all continue to deal with COVID-19, this year we are limited in our number of attendees. This year’s event will be held on June 23, 2020, at the Columbia Restaurant, by invitation only. The invitation will include our Officers, Board Members, Committee Chairs and Ex-officios. However, If you are interested in attending, please contact Nancy Simms, Club Administrator, at firstname.lastname@example.org and she’ll place you on a waitlist if space should become available.
